The Holiday’s are quickly approaching, and many families depend on the Tri-Community Helping Hands food bank, which serves Phelan, Pinon Hills, and Wrightwood. In preparation for the upcoming holiday season, the organization is asking the community to lend a helping hand and provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal for those in need.
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit is asking for donations of just one regular-size can of any of these items:
- green beans
- corn
- peaches
- yam
- or box of stuffing
Donated items can be dropped off at the Wrightwood CSD building at 1275 Highway 2 in Wrightwood, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or at the United Methodist Church at 1543 Barbara Street in Wrightwood, open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All other check donations can be mailed to Tri-Community Helping Hands, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, P.O. Box 2742, Wrightwood, CA 92397.
