Wrightwood Elementary School teachers are hosting the 2nd Annual Ready Raccoons Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, for Wrightwood parents of children ages 0-4 years. The teachers have observed a difference in the students who start kindergarten. The students who are most prepared to succeed are those whose parents have engaged them in reading, singing, playing games, free play with toys, and lots of conversation.
All parents will receive FREE Learning Kits filled with books, games, toys, and other educational resources you can use right away at home to help your children develop language and literacy skills and be ready to succeed in school. Wrightwood Elementary teachers will share the habits and strategies that make a real difference for kids who excel in school. There will be stations demonstrating the benefits of sensory and movement activities, social-emotional learning, information about preschool and Transitional Kindergarten, how to read a book to your child, Footsteps to Brilliance, and a FREE Book Giveaway. Come learn how to help your child become a Ready Raccoon.
