Phelan Pinon Hills CSD Installs New Officers

Tri-Community NewsPlus

The Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District Board of Directors selects a new president and vice-president.  While the November elections saw two board positions open for election, the two incumbents, Rebecca Kujawa and Mark Roberts remained the CSD constituents’ top pic to continue their tenure on the Board for another four years.

Each year the Board decides on who they would like to serve as board president and vice-president.   During a general meeting, nominations are taken and accepted, and the board votes for whom they would like to serve in those positions for the current year.  Kathy Hoffman is the current Board President.  Her term started in 2018, and she is up for reelection in 2022.  She currently serves on the Engineering and Legislative committees.

Rebecca Kujawa is the current Board Vice President.  Her term is 2020-2024.  Her committees include Parks & Streets Lights and Solid Waste and Recycling.

Charlie Johnson is a current Director.  His term is 2018-2022, and his current committee assignments include Finance and Parks & Street Lights and one ad-hock committee for the Antilope Valley Adjudication.

Debra Philips is a current Director, and her term is 2018-2022.  Her current committees include Legation and Solid Waste and Recycling.

Mark Roberts is also a Director. His term is 2020-2024, and his committees include Finance and Engineering and one ad-hoc committee for the Antilope Valley Adjudication.

The Phelan Pinon Hill Community Services District Board of Director’s governing body comprises five board members, each serving a four-year term, registered voters elect board members within the PPHCSD jurisdiction.  Each board member serves on at least two committees and some on ad-hoc committees, as needed. The committees include legislation, engineering, finance, parks & streetlights, solid waste & recycling, and one ad hoc committee for Antelope Valley adjudication.  Each committee meets every three months; updates from those committees are during regular board meeting on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 6 pm.  All meetings are open to the public and are currently held over zoom.  Normally, General Board Meetings are held at the Community Center at 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.  Committee meeting times and dates are available at www.pphcsd.org and are located at the PPHCSD office across from the community center same address.
