Excitement is building in the Tri-Community as Phelan Phamily Phun Days returns to Phelan Road on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This highly anticipated annual event brings the community together for a day full of fun, laughter, and nostalgia with this year’s theme, “Childhood Memories.”
The festivities will kick off with an opening ceremony at the Chamber Message Board across from Phelan Elementary School. From there, the Phun Days Parade will start at 9 a.m., traveling along Phelan Road from Valle Vista Road to Sheep Creek Road. Make sure to grab a spot near the Message Board for the best view as each entry pauses to be announced and judged.
The celebration continues throughout the day with the Champagne Classic Car Show, showcasing a fantastic lineup of vintage vehicles along Phelan Road. While car enthusiasts will still have plenty to enjoy, please note that there will be no open header or burnout contest this year due to insurance coverage limitations, as recently announced by the Phelan Chamber.
Families can enjoy a visit to the Phun Zone, where kids will find a variety of rides and games to keep them entertained. New this year are tricycle races for “kids” of all ages. There is plenty more to do, explore local vendors and exhibitors, savor delicious eats at the Phun Days Food Court, and relax with a refreshing drink in the Beer Garden while listening to some great music.
On the Phun Days stage, you’ll find nonstop entertainment, including hometown contests, music, opportunity drawings, and much more. The day will wrap up with an awards presentation recognizing the best entries from the parade and the car show. The newly crowned Miss Phelan Court will be on hand to assist with various activities and ceremonies throughout the day.
But that’s not all—Phun Days needs you! Whether you’ve always wanted to be part of a parade, have a classic car to show off, or have unique products to sell, there’s a place for you. The Phelan Chamber is looking for parade entries, classic cars for the Champagne Classic Car Show, and vendors to make this event a success.
