The Wrightwood Arts Center will shine a spotlight on the creative legacy of women in the Tri-Community with its upcoming exhibition, Now and Then. The show opens with a free reception on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. and runs through Oct. 26.
The exhibition celebrates both past and present local women artists, featuring a diverse collection of works that reflect the creativity and vision of the community. Pieces range from photography and painting to sculpture and mixed media, highlighting the depth of talent that has shaped the Tri-Community arts scene over time.
More than 25 artists are represented, including Lila Cartier, Dillie Thomas, Helga Walner, Patricia Farrell, Nancy Templeton, Suzi McKinney, Cheyanne Hunter, Bonnie Hanson, Lora Steinmann, Susan Weber, Colleen Sparlin, Asha Ramirez, Julia Reineman, Mo Teal, Desi La Bounty, Deborah Merz, Carol Mailander, Chelsea Brummet, Shannon La Bounty, Kazumi Svenson, Lauren Muir, Melissa Litzenberger, Corinne Corte, Laura Nance, Delilah Z., Viko Brenizer, and Katie Rock.
Visitors can view the exhibition during regular hours, Fridays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, with no RSVP required.
