Lady Be Aware Courses are back for 2026. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Training Division continues the Lady Be Aware courses. Each 8-hour training course consists of classroom material and is designed for women who want to learn and develop the necessary attitude, skills, and knowledge to prevent them from becoming victims. The comprehensive course will consist of 4 hours of classroom instruction, 2 hours of weaponless defense techniques, and 2 hours of shooting practice and gun safety.
There are two upcoming courses in January. The first class will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and the second class is on January 24th, both held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center, located at 18901 Institution Road in Devore.
Participants must be 16 years or older and accompanied by a guardian. The cost is $75 per person. To register email: [email protected]. Credit card payment is due within 24 hours of registration, and once registered, participants will receive additional course details via email.
The cancellation policy allows for one date change or a refund.
