On Thursday, November 13, the Wrightwood community gathered to celebrate the Re-Grand Opening of Hair in the Woods, a beloved local beauty salon that has served the area for over two decades. The event was held at the salon’s central location on Evergreen Road, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce, followed by an inviting community night filled with local vendors, refreshments, and an array of beauty-focused activities.

Hair in the Woods has long held a special place in the town of Wrightwood. Over the years, the salon has occupied several buildings throughout town, adapting and evolving with each move while maintaining its commitment to personalized beauty services. Now located at 1263 Evergreen Rd., between the Raccoon Saloon and the Stogie Fogey, the salon has embraced its newest chapter with a fresh makeover and a renewed dedication to serving the community.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce President Janice Quick expressed her excitement for the salon’s transformation. “We want to celebrate this beautiful remodel and re-grand opening of Hair in the Woods,” she said, highlighting the significance of the updated space for both the business and the community. The ceremony also included the unveiling of a brand-new, hand-carved wooden sign featuring the Hair in the Woods logo, adding a welcoming and rustic flair to the salon’s front entrance.

Following the official ribbon-cutting, guests were invited to step inside and explore the newly renovated salon, which now boasts updated flooring, fresh paint, modern décor, and a bright, airy layout designed to enhance the client experience. The open house-style celebration brought together local businesses and community members for an evening that combined beauty, creativity, and local flavor.

Visitors enjoyed gourmet coffee beverages served by Brewed and Baked, a pop-up café from Hesperia known for its craft drinks. Wrightwood’s own local home bakery, Small Town Stuff, delighted attendees with handmade sourdough bread, pastries, and baked goods. Meanwhile, several beauty and wellness vendors encouraged guests to indulge in self-care. Clean Slate offered permanent jewelry, Navas Body Sculpting provided Botox services, and tattoo artist Cory Blagg created custom flash tattoos during the event. Local business I Dyed also brought a playful touch with face painting and customizable tie-dye shirts.

In addition to haircuts and hair color, Hair in the Woods also offers hair extensions, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and several other beauty treatments. The new layout even includes a dedicated kids’ waiting room where children can relax and watch TV while parents enjoy a bit of pampering
Above all, the event highlighted the salon’s passion for providing high-quality beauty services while empowering clients to feel confident and cared for. Whether serving women, men, teens, or children, Hair in the Woods aims to create an environment where everyone can enjoy a moment of self-care.

The salon invites the community to enjoy the refreshed space and experience the many services they offer by booking an appointment, calling or texting 909-753-2260, or connecting with them on Facebook at Hair in the Woods or Instagram @hair_in_the_woods.
