Are your letters and packages ready to send so your loved ones receive them by Christmas? The U.S. Postal Service has released its recommended 2025 holiday mailing deadlines for both military and domestic mail.
For military destinations, First-Class and Priority Mail should be sent no later than December 9, while Priority Mail Express Military Service must be mailed by December 16.
For the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), the recommended deadlines are:
USPS Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail: December 17
Priority Mail: December 18
Priority Mail Express: December 20
Shippers are encouraged to check usps.com for deadlines to other destinations, double-check all addresses, and shake packages gently to ensure items are securely packed.
