County Seeks Citizens to Serve on 2026 Grand Jury

Tri-Community NewsPlus

San Bernardino County is now accepting applications for its civil grand jury, with successful candidates serving from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026.

Tasked by the California Penal Code to investigate county operations, cities, special districts and certain criminal matters, the grand jury ensures confidentiality in all communications and responds to every signed citizen complaint after investigation.

Jurors must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, residents of the county for at least one year, and possess English proficiency, sound judgment and good character. Elected officials are not eligible. Jurors commit to three to five days per week and receive $60 a day plus mileage.

Applications are due by July 31, 2025, for next year’s civil grand jury. Applications can be submitted online at https://wp.sbcounty.gov/grandjury/ or by contacting the Grand Jury Coordinator at (909) 382-3971.
