The Pinon Hills Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Job Fair on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pinon Hills Elementary School field as part of its annual Summerfest celebration.
The job fair, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature a variety of employers accepting resumes, including Cal Fire, High Desert Community Home Health, Hyundai Motor America, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Probation Department, and the U.S. Marines. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and come prepared with questions.
Guest speakers representing local employers and service providers will offer presentations and Q&A sessions from 9 a.m. to noon. In addition to hiring employers, several community resource organizations will be available to offer support and information. These include the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department, Transitional Assistance Department (TAD), UC San Bernardino, FWL Live Scan & Fingerprinting, and various healthcare opportunity providers.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the Artisan’s Collection and Cottage Industry entrepreneurs will open vendor booths offering handmade gifts and locally produced items. A garden lunch party will follow from 12 to 2 p.m., providing attendees a chance to mingle with vendors and enjoy live music. The band lineup includes The Nomads, performing at noon, and Highway 2, taking the stage at 3 p.m.
Children’s activities will be available from noon to 6 p.m. with KidZone tickets sold at the Chamber of Commerce booth. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will also be on-site to provide first aid support.
The Chamber extended special thanks to Fort Irwin Community Outreach Leaders for encouraging volunteer participation during Summerfest.
