The Wrightwood Blues Society (WBS) has opened online submissions for the 9th Annual Wrightwood’s Got Talent Scholarship, inviting K–12 students from Wrightwood and surrounding areas to participate. Interested performers may submit a video link of their work through the organization’s website at wrightwoodblues.org.
Each year, WBS typically awards a total of $2,500 in scholarship funds, which are shared among selected participants. According to WBS President and show producer Greg Jones, the program is intentionally inclusive. “All performance types are invited to participate because the goal of the scholarship is to encourage and inspire without regard to a particular genre or art form,” Jones said.
Participation is limited and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The submission deadline is March 15. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to perform or display their work at The Wrightwood Place performance center on April 4th.
