Do you want to become a Friend of the Wrightwood Library but hesitate due to memberships beginning in January? Well, now is your chance – we also run yearly memberships starting in July!
The Friends are a group of community members interested in supporting library programs, sharing a love of books and reading, and having fun together.
As a Friend, you can be as involved with us and the library as you wish. We host a monthly book club, create and facilitate regular fundraising activities throughout the year, support the library staff during events, and operate the library’s bookstore. Our book club meets the first Wednesday of every month, and the Friends Board meets the second Wednesday of every month (both meetings are at 3:30 in the Wrightwood Library multi-purpose room). We also send out a quarterly newsletter outlining our activities over the previous 3 months (including pictures of kids enjoying library events), upcoming library events, upcoming book club dates and book selections, and board meeting dates.
Most importantly, 100% of the money raised through memberships, donations, and fundraisers supports Wrightwood Library programming (and the library staff facilitates wonderful, fun, and educational programs that are well-attended).
Check out our website for membership information (www.wrightwoodfriendsofthelibrary.org) and to sign up (or drop by the library to sign up). If you have any questions about membership or the Friends, please email us at [email protected].
