The annual Chili Cook-Off and Salsa Contest, hosted by the Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come by the Wrightwwod Community Building and Parking Lot off Park Drive and join a day of spicy flavors, hometown pride and friendly competition. If you’d like to be a participant in sampling and voting for your favorite Chili and Salsa, sampling kits are available. Chili sampling kits are $10. Kits for Salsa are $5. All ages are invited to join the fun. There is no spectator fee.
The day’s event will feature a variety of activities, a side from participating in the sampling of all the contestants’ chili and salsa recipes, a jalapeño eating contest, music, merchandise vendors, and the Chamber’s 50/50 opportunity drawing. Winners in both the chili and salsa categories will be announced at the awards ceremony at Vivian Null Park. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, including the People’s Choice and Judge’s selections. The Wrightwood Community Building and Parking lot is located between Park Drive and Pine Street in Wrightwood.
