The Wrightwood Community Service District (WCSD) has recently made a significant addition to its team by hiring a new Parks and Recreations Activity Director. The newly appointed Activities Director is Camryn Ververs, who is enthusiastic about her new role and is eager to bring new and exciting recreational opportunities to the community.
Camryn Ververs, originally from Virginia, has a strong background in outdoor activities and sports. Growing up, she was involved in various sports such as soccer, field hockey, swimming, water polo, softball, and tennis. Her passion for outdoor activities and community engagement led her to pursue a career in recreational programming.
With a bachelor’s degree from Commonwealth University, Camryn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new position. Prior to joining WCSD, she resided in Seattle but was drawn to the vibrant community of Wrightwood after visiting friends in the area.
In her new role, Camryn is focused on expanding the range of activities available to the community. She will also continue to organize the existing programs including Children’s Dance, Teen and Adult Dance Fitness Class, and Adult Co-Ed Softball. These programs have proven to be popular through their high attendance. The Wrightwood CSD and Camryn definitely see there is a demand for more recreational activities in the area and are working hard to provide a variety of programs to meet this need.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new position, Camryn stated, “One of my biggest passions in life is working with people, especially when it involves finding new and fun ways to get them active in their community. I feel so blessed to be able to create engaging programs to expand recreation opportunities in my neighborhood.”

Camryn and the WCSD team are dedicated to providing the community the a variety of recreational activities, and they welcome input from residents to further enhance the recreational offerings in Wrightwood.
