The Wrightwood Community Service District is partnering with the Spark of Love Toy Drive to provide Christmas gifts to local children in the Tri-Community. According to the ABC7 website, the Spark of Love Toy Drive is the largest community toy drive in the nation, and the Wrightwood CSD is excited to be involved.
If your family or someone you know is experiencing hard times this Christmas season, fill out an application no later than Friday, December 9th, to receive donated toys. Applications are available in the Wrightwood Community Services Building and must include the child’s name, gender, age, and school they attend. All information is confidential, and you can even email your application to office@wrightwoodcsd.org. Or contact Venessa Perez at (626) 662-4639.
You may also participate in the Spark of Love Toy Drive by giving back to the community and donating a new, unwrapped toy. Toys can be dropped off at the toy box collection sites at either the Wrightwood Community Services Building on Hwy 2 or the Wrightwood Fire Station #14 on Elm St. There will also be a Spark of Love toy drive on Sunday, December 11th from 11am-2pm in the Rite Aid parking lot on 4120 Phelan Road. See Sparky the Dog, a fire engine, and more.
