Nothing will stand in the way of Wrightwood’s Veteran Memorial organization staging their annual Veterans Day observance at the Wrightwood Veterans Memorial. While planning is on-going based on what the state will ‘allow,” a ceremony will take place Wednesday, November 11 at 11 am.
The ceremony will begin with the ringing of eleven bells from the Memorial Bell, now a tradition of the ceremony, commemorating the end of the “War to End all Wars,” November 11, 1918 at 11 am in France (World War I). The ceremony itself will be predicated on what can be done as they work into November, reports Veterans Memorial President Allan Miller. More information will be available as November approaches.
The Wrightwood Veterans Memorial is on Evergreen Road, between Park Drive and Pine Street, in the Village Center of Wrightwood.
