Things To Do This Weekend: October 28-30, 2022

Halloween is finally here and this weekend there are plenty of fun events happening. Fall festivals are taking place at schools and churches throughout the Tri-Community, so you’re sure to find something to dress up for. We even compiled a separate list of all the Fall activities which includes events happening on Halloween Day, here in the Tri-Communities Be sure to share your events with us. On Friday, October 28, 2022

Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Senior Game Day – From 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 4:00pm – 7:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. In the Wrightwood Community Building in Wrightwood, at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.

Friday Night Steak Dinner At The VFW – From 5:00-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.

Calico Ghost Hunt – From 9:00am-10:00pm. Come enjoy this family and pet-friendly event the last two weekends of October and you may experience some Pumpkin Mayhem madness. Admission prices are $15 for Adults, $10 for youth (ages 4-11) and 3 years and younger are free. Location: Calico 36600 Ghost Town Road in Yermo. https://4newsplus.com/calico-ghost-haunt-returns

Christmas in October – From 10:00am-4:00pm. Pinon Hills Seniors’ Annual Craft & Bake Sale.  Crafts, jewelry, beads, needle work, paintings, wire craft, baked goods & much more. Start your holiday shopping. Location: Phelan Senior Center on Warbler Rd.

Wrightwood Elementary Carnival – From 10:00am-4:00pm. Variety of games, inflatable activities, cake walk, raffles and food.  Family fun. Don’t forget to wear your costumes. Location: Wrightwood Elementary School on Hwy 2.

Camp Wrightwood Fall Festival– From 2:00pm-6:00pm. Family fun for all ages. Hayrides, Pumpkin Patch, huge blow-up obstacle course, vendors, food, candy & games. Location: Camp Wrightwood 1401 Linnet Road.

Calvary Chapel Harvest Party- From 3:00pm-6:00pm, Fun games, various booths, bounce house, hayrides & candy.  Free. Costumes welcome. Location: Calvary Chapel on Neilson Rd in Phelan.

High Desert Baptist Festival -From 3:00pm-6:00pm, Everything is free. Games, snacks & prizes with lots of fun for the whole family. Location: Corner of Johnson & Smoketree Roads in Phelan.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022

Hillside Church Pumpkin Bash– From 2:00pm-5:00pm, Free games. Trunk or treat. Costumes welcome and food available to buy. Bring the family for a fun afternoon. Location: Hillside Church 3221 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.
