Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Senior Game Day – From 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 4:00pm – 7:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. In the Wrightwood Community Building in Wrightwood, at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.
Friday Night Steak Dinner At The VFW – From 5:00-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Mountain Hardware Customer Appreciation Concert- From 4:00-6:00pm, Mountain Hardware is hosting a Concert in the Parking Lot Customer Appreciation Party. Come enjoy an evening of fun, hot dogs, music, and even dancing. Live music by the Jarett James Band. Silverwood Lake Apple Fest – From 10:00am-2:00pm. Silverwood Lake will host its annual Apple Fest. During the Apple Fest, guests can gather apples to make fresh apple cider, take a tour of the historic orchard, learn about the area’s history of apple farming, and enjoy crafts and interactive booths! 2nd Weekend of Mountain High Oktoberfest – From 10:00am-7:00pm. Attracting thousands of visitors yearly, the historic North Lodge will become a Bavarian Brewery right here in Wrightwood! Jeep Rally & Chili Cook-Off – From 11:00pm-3:00pm. The Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce and Mountain High Resorts will host the annual Jeep Rally, Chili Cook-Off & Salsa Contest on Saturday, Oct. 15. Diggin’ It: The Science of Breaking Ground– From 11:00-3:00pm. Guests are invited to learn about archaeology and paleontology during this special event at the Victor Valley Museum. $10 for Adults, $5 for kids and children under 5 are Free. Halloween Harvest at Mojave Narrows- From 6:00-9:00pm, Mojave Narrows Regional Park is hosting a Halloween Harvest Festival this weekend on Oct. 15 and 16.
