The Fall Festivals and Halloween events are in full swing this weekend. On Friday, October 13th, 2023

Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Senior Game Day – From 10:00am – 4:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Camp Wrightwood Pumpkin Patch – From 2:00pm-6:00pm. Shop for pumpkins, bring cash and your Halloween spirit for a fantastic time! The pumpkin patch is only open on weekends. Friday’s 2:00pm-6:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Location: Camp Wrightwood 1401 Linnet Rd in Wrightwood.

Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.

Friday Night Steak Dinner at The VFW – From 5:00pm-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.

Fear Farm Haunt Opens– From: 7:00pm-10:00pm. Experience Sundown Manor and Chamber of the Damned, haunted mazes & more. Be prepared to be scared. Location: Fear Farm at 6275 Sundown Drive in Phelan.

A Spooky Good Time at The Yodeler – From: 8:00pm-11:00pm. Live music by The High D Boys. Enjoy craft beer, food and good times. Location: The Yodeler Bar & Grill on Park Drive in Wrightwood.

On Saturday, October 14th, 2023

20th Annual Willys Jeep Rally – From 9:00am-2:00pm. Take a walk on Park Drive and view Willy Jeeps dating back to the 1930s and current models. Free.  No fee or registration required to participate, must arrive prior to 8:30am. Location: Park Drive in Wrightwood.

Community Teaching Garden– From 10:00am. Gardening 101. Harvesting/Storing Vegetables and Fruits. Learn how simple gardening can be from Master Gardener Michelle Hannon.  Free class.  All ages welcome. Immediately following the gardening class attend a “Learn To Compost” class from 11-12pm. This free class requires RSVP at www.pphcsd.org/events. Location: Phelan Community Center 4128 Warbler Rd in Phelan.

Wrightwood Chili Cook-Off– From 11:00am- 3:00pm. All day festivites; food, beer, entertainment contests, games, pumpkin patch & much more.  Free admission. Location: Wrightwood Community Building in Wrightwood.

Oktoberfest at Mt. High North Lodge- From 10:00am-7:00pm. All day festivites; food, beer, entertainment contests, games, pumpkin patch & much more.  Free admission.
Location: Mt. High North Lodge 24510 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Live Music at The Ranch Steakhouse- From 7:00pm. Live performance by Twizzle band.
Location: The Ranch Steakhouse at 4264 Phelan Road in Phelan.

Fall Canine (& People, too) Carnival – From 9:00am-7:00pm. Bring your well trained leashed dog. Low cost activities for all. Free admission. Corn Hoe Tournament, dog sporting activities. VIP wine tasting, live auction & more. Location: Wrightwood Place at 770 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.
