It’s officially November! Celebrate the last days of Fall and don’t forget that Daylight Savings is this Sunday, November 5th. Here is a list of all the fun events happening this weekend! Be sure to share your events with us. We would love to hear about them!

On Friday, November 3rd, 2023

Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Senior Game Day – From 10:00am – 4:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Closed Due to CSD Parking Lot Construction Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.

Friday Night Steak Dinner at The VFW – From 5:00pm-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.

Blues Night Open Mic – From 8:00pm-11:00pm. Sing, play & dance with the house band.  Presented by the Wrightwood Blues Society. Food & beverages available. Location: The Yodeler at 6046 Park Drive in Wrightwood.

On Saturday, November 4th, 2023

Wrightwood Village Trail Clean Up – From 9:00am. Volunteers meet at the Mountain Hardware parking lot. Bring gardening gloves for pulling weeds and trowels for planting daffodil bulbs along the village trail. Location: Mountain Hardware on Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Kids Fall Baking Class– From 10:00am- 12:00pm. Kids ages 5-17 learn to make Mini Apple Pies. RSVP required at www.pphcsd.org/sign-up-for-classes  All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Location: Phelan Senior Center 4128 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Wrightwood Historical Society Speaker– From 10:00am. Hear Rick Lovett share the history of the Lovett family in the region, including the founded of Mountain Top Cafe! Location: Wrightwood Museum 6000 Cedar St in Wrightwood.

Wrightwood Artisan Boutique & Craft Fair- From 10:00am-3:00pm. Come by and browse unique one-of-a-kind art, home decor, handcrafted gifts from several local artisans. Location: Wrightwood Artistan Boutique on the corner of Cedar & Laura Streets

Wrightwood Arts Center Grand Opening – From: 2:00pm-5:00pm. The new Wrightwood Arts Center will be hosting a grand opening celebration. There will be speakers, art, music, food, and drawing activities for all ages. Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to attend and enjoy some art and a creative community. Location: New Wrightwood Arts Center at 6045 Park Drive in Wrightwood.

Live Music at the Big Rock Bar – From 7:00pm-10:00pm. The Groove Hunters band will be playing on the stage. Enjoy drink specials. Location: Big Rock Bar and Grill 1828 Hwy 138 in Pinon Hills.

Daylight Savings Time Ends

VFW Karaoke– From: 2:00pm. Join the fun. Public welcome. Location: 4892 Nielson Road in Phelan.
