It’s Memorial Day Weekend and there’s plenty to do during the long 3-day weekend. There will be two Memorial Day ceremonies taking place in the Tri-Community on Monday, May 29th. One will be at the Wrightwood Veterans Memorial Park and another at the Phelan VFW. Rummage Sale at St. Junipero Serra Catholic Church– From 8:00am-3:00pm. Large 2 day rummage sale where proceeds will be used to help people in the Tri-Community. Location: St. Junipero Serra Catholic Church at 8820 Sheep Creek Road in Phelan.
Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Yard Sale & Craft Fair at the Wrightwood Artisans Boutique– From 9:00am-3:00pm. Come and shop from local artists and crafters this Memorial Weekend. Location: Wrightwood Artisans Boutique at Cedar Lodge 5995 Cedar Street in Wrightwood.
Strength & Conditioning Class – From 10:00am – Join a strength & conditioning training class. Bring a yoga mat, towel & water bottle. An adult must accompany minor children. RSVP required at www.pphcsd.org/sign-up-for-classes Location: Pinon Hills Community Center on Mountain Road in Pinon Hills.
Senior Game Day – From 10:00am – 4:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.
Friday Night Steak Dinner At The VFW – From 5:00-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.
50s Party at The Big Rock Bar– From 8:30pm-12:30am. Dress up in 50s attire for a fun night of dancing and karaoke. Location: The Big Rock Bar at 1828 Hwy 138 in Pinon Hills.

Wrightwood Country Bar Crawl – From 5:00pm. Come dressed in your best Cowboy or Cowgirl attire for a night out on the town in Wrightwood. Crawl starts at the Village Grind from 5pm-6pm, WW Brewery from 6pm-8pm, Yodeler from 8pm-9pm, Racoon Saloon from 9pm-10pm and ends at the WW Inn from 10pm-Closing. Event is for adults 21+ Please drink responsibly. Location: Various businesses along Park Drive in Wrightwood.
Live Music at The Ranch Steakhouse– From 7:00pm-10:00pm. Enjoy music from The Fossils band. Enjoy food and drinks. Location: The Ranch Steakhouse 4264 Phelan Road in Phelan.

Snowline Players Senior Follies Auditions – From 2:00pm-5:00pm. Do you sing, dance, or play an instrument? Bring your own instrument or backtrack to audition for the Senior Follies show that will take place in mid to late July. Open to ages 55 and older. Location: Wrightwood Community Building at 1275 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.
Karaoke at the VFW – From 2:00pm. Join in on all the fun. Public welcome. Location: VFW Post#9415 at 4892 Nielson Road in Phelan.
