On Friday, March 31st, 2023

Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Strength & Conditioning Class – From 10:00am – Join a strength & conditioning training class. Bring a yoga mat, towel & water bottle.  An adult must accompany minor children. RSVP required at www.pphcsd.org/sign-up-for-classes Location: Pinon Hills Community Center on Mountain Road in Pinon Hills.

Senior Game Day – From 10:00am – 4:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.

Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.

Friday Night Steak Dinner At The VFW – From 5:00-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.

Spring One Act Play Festival – From 7:00pm. Serrano High School Diamondback Players will perform one act shows. Donations will be accepted at the door and concessions available for purchase. Location: Serrano Performing Arts Center at 9292 Sheep Creek Road in Phelan.

Comedy Night at the Big Rock Bar – From 7:30pm. Enjoy good drinks and laughter with an amazing comedy lineup, followed by Karaoke at 9pm. Location: The Big Rock Bar & Grill 1828 on Hwy 138 in Pinon Hills.

On Saturday, April 1st, 2023

Sunset Little League Opening Day – From 8:30am. Community is welcome to cheer on the teams for opening day Pancake breakfast is $5 and starts at 8:30 am. There will also be food trucks offering drinks and food available for purchase. Location: Phelan Elementary at 4167 Phelan Road.

Wild Flower Walk at Puma Canyon – From 10:00am. Welcome springtime with a guided wildflower walk at Puma Canyon Preserve, hosted by Wendy Walker! Location: Meet at Puma Canyon Preserve Visitor Center at 1681 Hillview Rd in Pinion Hills

Easter Bunny at Mountain Hardware – From 10:00am-3:00pm. Visit the Easter Bunny and get a free Easter egg with a surprise inside. Location: Mountain Hardware on Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Kids Baking Class – From 10:00am-12:00pm. Kids ages 5-17 can learn how to make Strawberry Shortcake.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP required at www.pphcsd.org/sign-up-for-classes. Location: Phelan Senior Center on Warbler Road in Phelan.

Rolling Pin & Tea Towel Stamping Workshop at PaizLy Vintage – From 11:00am-1:00pm. Have fun and learn how to use IOD stamps.. Class is $45. Call Paizly Vintage 760.706.8899 to reserve your spot. Location: Paizly Vintage Antiques on Phelan Road in Phelan.

Wrightwood’s Got Talent – From 1:00pm-3:00pm. The Terry “Big T” scholarship competition.  Local K-12 students finalist to perform.  Tickets $20 available online at wrightwoodblues.org . Location: The Wrightwood Place at 770 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Live Music at Mexico Lindo – From 4:00pm. Enjoy music from the Wild Side band, while enjoying good food and cold drinks. Location: Mexico Lindo on Evergreen Road in Wrightwood.

Kiwanis April Fools Derby – From 5:30pm. An evening of fun with stick horse races, dinner, raffles & more.  Donation $20. Proceeds benefit children & youth of the Tri-Community. Location: Pinon Hills Community Center at 10433 Mountain Road in Pinon Hills.

Live Music at The Ranch Steakhouse – From 7:00pm. Enjoy music from the Albert Miranda Project. Enjoy food and drinks, no cover charge. Location: The Ranch Steakhouse at 4264 Phelan Road in Phelan.

On Sunday, April 2nd, 2023

Easter Bunny at Mountain Hardware – From 10:00am-3:00pm. Visit the Easter Bunny and get a free Easter egg with a surprise inside. Location: Mountain Hardware on Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Karaoke Night at the VFW– From 2:00pm-6:00pm. Karaoke every Sunday at the Phelan VFW. Hot Dogs will be available for purchase. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.

Wrightwood’s Got Dance! Classes – From 4:00pm-5:30pm. Learn Swing dances, Fox Trot and more in preparation for Big Band Bash Fundraiser to be held on April 22, 2023.  Attend 1, 2, or all classes. $3 per class.  Location: Wrightwood Community Building in Wrightwood.

Community Easter Dinner– From 5:00pm-7:00pm. Come celebrate Easter with a free community dinner. Hosted by Phelan Foursquare Church, High Desert Baptist Church and My Hero Subs & Pub. Location: Phelan Foursquare Church at 10120 Johnson Road in Phelan.
