July is heating up with temperatures in the 80s for Wrightwood and almost in the 90s for Phelan/Pinon Hills. Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Senior Game Day – From 10:00am – 4:00pm. Seniors step into the air-conditioned Phelan Senior Center to play games including Cribbage. The popular UNO card game begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Location: Phelan Senior Center, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 4:00pm – 7:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.
Friday Night Steak Dinner At The VFW – From 5:00pm-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.
Movie Night at Phelan Park– From 6:45pm. Watch “Raya and The Last Dragon” Drinks and snacks available. Bring your family & chairs. Hosted by PPHCSD & Tri-Community Kiwanis. Location: Phelan Community Park on Warbler & Sheep Creek Roads in Phelan.
Blues Night Open Mic – From 8:00pm-11:00pm. Sing, play & dance with the house band. Presented by the Wrightwood Blues Society. Food & beverages available. Location: The Yodeler at 6046 Park Drive in Wrightwood.
