On Friday, January 26th 2024
Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.
Serrano Performing Arts Showcase – From 6:30pm. Enjoy performances from the Serrano choir, theater, dance and jazz band. Free entry, but any donations are welcome. Location: Serrano High School Performing Arts Center on Sheep Creek in Phelan.
Friday Night Steak Dinner at The VFW – From 5:00pm-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.
On Saturday, January 27th, 2024
High Desert Keepers Clean-up – 9:00am-1:00pm. Volunteers are needed to help clean up trash and illegal dumping in the desert. Lunch will be served for anyone who volunteers. Location: Pionero Rd and Yucca Terrace in Phelan by where the busses are.
Country Night at the Racoon Saloon– From 7:00pm. Dress in your best country attire. There will be prizes fro the best dressed. Enjoy drink specials and a DJ. Age 21+ only. Location: Raccoon Saloon 1269 Evergreen Road in Wrightwood.
Live Band at Wrightwood Brew Co.– From 5:00pm-8:00pm. Live music by Lazy Dog Mountain band. Enjoy bluegrass, folk and classic country music. Location: Wrightwood Brew Co. at the top of Park Dr in Wrightwood.
On Sunday, January 28th, 2024
Mt. High Boarding for Breast Cancer Fundraiser– From 9:00am-4:00pm. Touchless Pink Poker Run for all ages & abilities. On-site Raffle & Auction, costume contest, vendors, product sampling, food & beverage specials DJs & dancing. $25 donation. Info at B4BC.org Location: Mt. High Resort on Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.
Phelan VFW Karaoke– From: 2:00pm. Join the fun. Public welcome. Location: VFW Post #9415 at 4892 Nielson Road in Phelan.
New Year, New You Yoga Class– From 3:00pm-4:00pm. An all levels yoga class at the Love Roots Yoga Shala taught by instructor Amanda Haybell. This class will be offered every Sunday until February 4th. Class is $12 for drop-in. Location: Love Roots Yoga Shala 1329 Hwy 2 on Second Floor in Wrightwood.
