It’s December and there’s only 5 more weekends left of 2023! Lots of Holiday festivities are taking place this month. Here is a list of all the fun events happening this weekend! Be sure to share your events with us. We would love to hear about them!
On Friday, December 1st, 2023
Senior Line Dancing – From 8:30am – 11:00am, great fun and exercise while learning to line dance and the best part is it’s FREE! Location: Phelan Senior Center at the Phelan Community Park, 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan.
Wrightwood Farmers Market – From 3:00pm – 6:00pm, locally grown fresh produce, artisan baked goods, jams, coffee, olive oil, honey, natural beauty products & soaps, and crafters can often be found at the Market. Location: In the Wrightwood Community Building at the corner of Park Drive and Hwy 2.
Friday Night Steak Dinner at The VFW – From 5:00pm-7:00pm, all are welcome to visit the VFW and get a complete delicious steak dinner ($22), alternate meals change each week between Ribs($14), Chicken($12), Pork Chops($12), and Fish n Chips($12) or a vegetarian alternate dinner. Kids meals available too! Proceeds help support the programs and outreach of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Phelan. Location: VFW Post 9415 in Phelan at the corner of Nielson and Johnson Roads.
Phelan’s 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting– From 5:30pm -8:00pm Join the lighting of Phelan’s Christmas Tree. Movie in the Park, Serrano choir, visit Santa, take selfies. Hot chocolate and candy canes will be served. All ages welcome. Presented by PPCSD Parks & Recreation. Bring a toy to donate to the SBC Fire Dept “Spark of Love Toy Drive. Location: Phelan Community Park on Warbler & Sheep Creek Roads in Phelan.
Serrano Band Winter Music Concert – From 6:30pm. Watch the Serrano High School Band perform their Winter Concert. Doors open at 6:00pm in the Serrano Performing Arts Center. $5 donations for entrance to the event. Location: Serrano High School Performing Arts Center on Sheep Creek Rd in Phelan.
Blues Open Mic Night– From 8:00pm-11:00pm. Sing, play & dance with the house band. Presented by the Wrightwood Blues Society. Food & beverages available for purchase. Location: The Yodeler on Park Drive in Wrightwood.
On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023
27th Annual Holiday Home Tour & Boutique – From 11:00am-4:00pm. Pine Needles Quilt Guild presents a tour of 4 Wrightwood homes decorated for the holiday with handmade quilts and a Boutique held at the Wrightwood Community Bldg. Tickets $25 at the Boutique. Location: Wrightwood Community Building.
Wrightwood Artisan Boutique and Craft Fair– From 10:00am -3:00pm. Come by and browse unique one-of-a-kind art, home decor, handcrafted gifts from several local artisans. Location: Wrightwood Artisans Boutique on the corner of Cedar & Laura Streets in Wrightwood.
Live Music at the Village Grind– From 2:00pm-4:00pm. Enjoy music from the Greg Jones Trio. Smoked tri-tip will be available for purchase. Location: The Village Grind & Wine Cellar 6020 Park Drive in Wrightwood.
Book Signing by Author & Artist: Alan Nakagawa – From 2:00pm-4:00pm. Meet artist and author Alan Nakagawa and learn about his work. Enjoy this free event at the new Community Arts Center & Gallery. Location: Community Arts Center & Gallery at 6045 Park Drive in Wrightwood.
Ginger & Spice Ornament Workshop– From 11:00am-3:00pm. Have fun making 2 ornaments, of your choice. All materials will be supplied. Price is $65, call Paizly to reserve your spot (760) 706-8899. Location: Paizly Vintage & Antiques 4774 Phelan Road in Phelan.
Live Music at Tavern Bar at the Ranch Steakhouse– From 7:00pm-10:00pm. Enjoy music by the Groove Hunters band! Enjoy delicious food and drinks. Location: The Ranch Steakhouse 4264 Phelan Road in Phelan.

Phelan Spark of Love & Fill the Boot Fundraiser– From 11:00am-1:00pm. Donate an unwrapped toy or drop a donation in the Boot for the Angel Tree kids. Meet Santa, Miss Phelan and her Court, Sparky the Fire Dog & see a Fire Engine. Location: Rite Aid Parking Lot at 4120 Phelan Road in Phelan.
VFW Karaoke– From: 2:00pm. Join the fun. Public welcome. Location: 4892 Nielson Road in Phelan.
