Two Easter events in the Tri-Community will be held on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021. The Wrightwood Property Owners Association event will be held at 11am on the Wrightwood Village Trail between Lone Pine Canyon Road and Spruce Street. The trail will be divided into four sections, one for each age group; between Park and Pine ages 1-3; between Spruce and Pine ages 4-5; between Elm and Walnut ages 6-7; and between Lone Pine Canyon Road and Victorville ages 8-10. Local Girl Scouts have volunteered to hide the eggs and supervise the trail sections. Numerous Tri-Community businesses and individuals sponsor this event.
The second Easter event, hosted by the Phelan Chamber of Commerce, will be a drive-by event in Phelan on Saturday, April 3rd, beginning at 10am in Pinon Mesa Middle School’s parking lot 9298 Sheep Creek Road. The Easter Bunny, along with the Miss Phelan Court and several volunteers, will hand out the Easter bags from 10-11am (until all bags are handed out) to the children and greet the children and parents as they drive-by. So, drive over and grab some goodies for the kiddos, and maybe you’ll get a Golden Easter egg in your basket with a special prize inside! This year’s sponsors include Mills Hardware, Kathy Hoffman Coldwell Banker, DCB, Tri-Community NewsPlus, Desert Mountain Veterinary, Phelan Express, Jo Ann Tidwell and Assoc., Velez/SmithGroup-Keller Williams, and Hannon Painting.
For many years, The Phelan Chamber of Commerce has put on a spectacular Easter Egg Hunt at Serrano High School. In the past, as many as 400 parents with excited children have participated in the event, running down the SHS football field to gather goodie-filled Easter eggs.
Last year, like everything else in our community, the Easter Egg Hunt was canceled due to restrictions handed down from The San Bernadino County Health Department.
