The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues work on the $13.8 million safety project on State Route 18 (SR-18) in and near the city of Victorville from Amargosa Road to Cobalt Road. This project will construct a raised curb median, widen the roadway, and include the installation of a traffic signal at the Borego Road intersection.
Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Amargosa Road to El Evado Road:
o Contractor will be placing a fog seal on the lanes and shoulders which will
require daytime work for proper application and curing.
o One of two lanes closed, in both directions, with one lane open to traffic.
Monday, November 15 through Friday, November 19
• Pacoima Road to Cobalt Road
o One lane may be closed with one lane remaining open in each direction at
any time of day or night for the duration of the project.
The project is expected to be complete in November of 2022. Work schedules can change due to inclement weather.
