Serrano High School is proud to announce its upcoming production of the Tony Award-Winning Musical “Into the Woods.” This classic Stephen Sondheim masterpiece combines familiar fairy tale characters with a thought-provoking story that will leave audiences captivated.
“Into the Woods,” tells the story of a baker and his wife who venture into the forest to break a witch’s curse that has left them childless. Along the way, they encounter various characters from classic fairy tales such as Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood. However, as they journey deeper into the woods, their wishes and desires become more complex, and the consequences of their actions begin to catch up with them.
The production is directed by Beverly Quinn, who has 23 years of experience with Serrano High School’s performing arts department. The talented cast features over 30 student actors who have been working tirelessly to bring these beloved characters to life on stage. Live orchestration from Serrano’s talented music department, directed and conducted by Matt Fell, will bring the score to life.
The show will be performed at the Serrano High School Performing Arts Center at 7pm on April 28, 29, and May 5, 6, 2023. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Serrano High School, on their website, or at the door for $10 each. Don’t miss this magical and entertaining production that is sure to delight you.
