Each year on Memorial Day and Veterans Day the flag that has been flying at the Wrightwood Veterans Memorial Park is retired and replaced with a new flag during the annual ceremonies.
Rick Jones, owner of Country Life Realty in Wrightwood, was the recipient of the flag that was retired on Veterans Day 2020 for his many generous donations to the Veterans Memorial Park. The retired flag is proudly displayed in his office. Rick is a Marine Corp veteran.
The Veterans Memorial Group cautiously presented Memorial Day and Veterans Day Ceremonies at the Wrightwood Veterans Memorial Park. Though the 2020 ceremonies were limited they were well attended with social distancing and the wearing of face masks. The traditional Ringing of the Armistice Bell, singing of the National Anthem, Flag Ceremony and the laying of the Wreath were presented.
