Are you an Artist? Each year for Earth Day, the Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District offers a fun contest for the district’s youth to encourage conservation efforts.
Once again, they are offering cash prizes and a chance to have your artwork featured in the next district calendar. All contestants have to do is create a piece of artwork reminding the community to recycle or conserve water.
The contest is open to all Phelan, Pinon Hills Elementary, Junior High, and High School students.
The first prize is $100, second prize is $75, and third prize is $50. Age categories are grades K-2, grades 3-5, and grades 6-12. Go to PPHCSD.org for more details and a printable Earth Day contest flyer and turn it in with your entry artwork. Deadline is April 22nd.
