A seat on the Board of Directors of the Phelan Piñon Hills Community Services District has become vacant by virtue of the resignation of Director Kathy Hoffman due to her recent appointment to the Mojave Water Agency’s Board of Directors. The remaining Phelan Piñon Hills CSD Board members will consider filling the vacancy by appointing a new Board Member. The appointment is considered a short-term seat and would last for two years instead of the normal 4-year term for a board member, which means the person appointed would need to run for election and win, in 2024 to remain on the board.
The Phelan Piñon Hills CSD is now accepting applications from qualified individuals seeking to serve on the Board. Anyone interested should submit either a letter of interest, a personal resume, or both, and any other materials they wish the Board to consider. All of the applications received will be included in the Agenda packet for the next Board meeting on May 10, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. for Board and public review. At the discretion of the Board and at that meeting, applicants may be interviewed, and an appointed board member may be selected during the meeting.
