Tri-Community NewsPlus will host two Candidate Forums and Meet & Greets in October, giving Tri-Community voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates before the Nov. 3 election.
The Wrightwood event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Wrightwood Community Building, 1275 CA-2. The Phelan event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Phelan Community Center, 4128 Warbler Road.
The Wrightwood forum will focus on offices and candidates serving Wrightwood voters. The Phelan forum will focus on offices and candidates serving Phelan and Piñon Hills voters. Candidates for offices shared across the Tri-Community may be invited to participate in both forums. Participating candidates will be announced as they are confirmed.
Each evening will begin with a 90-minute forum featuring candidate opening statements, moderated questions and closing statements. An informal Meet & Greet will follow from 8 to 8:30 p.m. Drinks and light snacks will be available with special thanks to the Wrightwood Property Owners Association and the Timberline Lions Club.
