The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Training Division is once again offering the Lady Be Aware course after a two-month summer break. The eight-hour training course has been revamped with classroom material and designed for women who want to learn and develop the necessary attitude, skills and knowledge to prevent becoming victims. The course will consist of four hours of classroom instruction, two hours of weaponless defense and two hours of shooting and gun safety.
The upcoming course will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center, 18901 Institution Road in Devore.
Participants must be 16 or older and accompanied by a guardian. The cost is $75 per person. To register, email [email protected]. Attendees must provide a valid California driver’s license to enroll. Credit card payments only. The course must be paid for within 24 hours of registration. Once registered, participants will be emailed additional information. There is a cancellation policy: one-time date change or refund.
If you miss the registration deadline, the next class will be held Oct. 11.
