Improvements For Wrightwood Roads Planned For June 7 Thru June 24

Tri-Community NewsPlus

The Department of Public Works will be performing road improvements beginning June 7, 2021, through June 24, 2021. Weather permitting, work hours will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

The Department of Public Works will place “No Parking Signs” indicating the specific dates and times work will be performed during the improvement project.  During these times, access to the public will be limited. Public works is asking that residents do not park any vehicles on the roadway, do not allow water to run on the roadway, do not allow children to play in the roadway, and do not place trash cans or other debris on the roadway during the posted dates and times they will be working.

The list of streets that have been selected for improvements are:

Andermott Drive, Apple Ave, Ash Road, Basel Drive, Betty Street, Chaumont Drive, Desert View Court, Desert View Drive, Desert View Lane, Dogwood Road, East Canyon Court, East Canyon Drive, Evergreen Road, Geneva Court, Heath Court, Heath Creek Drive, Heath Lane, and Interlaken Court

Additional streets include:

Irene Street, Juniper Drive, Lausanne Drive, Linnet Road, Locarno Drive, Lodgepole Drive, Mojave Scenic Drive, Orchard Drive, Outer Highway 2, Pacific Crest Drive, Penguin Lane, Sheepcreek Drive, Shirley J Lane, Snowbird Road, Summit Drive, Twin Lakes Drive, and Victorville Street

As part of an ongoing roads improvement project in Wrightwood which began with phase 1 in June 2020, the San Bernardino County Public Works Department will be applying a thin 1” maintenance overlay to just about every street in Wrightwood. However, some streets were skipped due to planned Golden State Water Company maintenance projects planned for their distribution lines. Public works will be working on phase 2 of the project beginning June 7, 2021, which includes applying a 1” maintenance overlay to the streets listed.

The Department of Public Works can be reached at 909-387-8063 for further information.
