Tri-Community NewsPlus, in collaboration with Mills Hardware, is hosting a Holiday Gift-Wrapping Fundraiser where community groups will wrap holiday presents for a small donation. Proceeds directly benefit participating community groups, enhancing their community impact. The event, held at Mills Hardware, includes complimentary hot cocoa with marshmallows and holiday music, creating a festive atmosphere for all participants. Tri-Community NewsPlus and Mills Hardware warmly invite the community to join in spreading holiday cheer while supporting local clubs, youth groups, nonprofits, and organizations, aiming to make a positive impact and brighten the lives of Tri-Community residents during the holiday season.

HOW IT WORKS
How Do I Get My Holiday Gifts Wrapped
- Bring your unwrapped gifts to Mills Hardware, located at 3936 Phelan Road in Phelan, on one of the scheduled days and times.
- Enjoy a steaming cup of hot cocoa topped with marshmallows and the festive holiday atmosphere while our community group volunteer wrappers wrap your gifts.
- We’ll provide the wrapping paper, ribbon, bow, and gift tag. All you have to do is provide the gifts. If you prefer to have your gift wrapped in a box, you must provide one.
- 100% of your donation will benefit the community group wrapping your gifts. Remember, this is a fundraiser, and we ask that you make a small minimum suggested donation per gift based on its size.
- Tell your family and friends about the Tri-Community Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser so our local community groups can raise much-needed funds to further their missions.
Community Group Participation Information
- Groups within the Tri-Community are eligible to participate. Groups include school clubs, youth groups, nonprofits, service clubs, & Churches. Not sure if your group qualifies or have questions, contact Don Fish Jr at dfishjr@4newsplus.com
- Review the schedule and decide which date and alternate date you want to participate. Dates are on a first come basis. Next click the "I Want My Group To Wrap Gifts" button below or in "The Schedule" section of this webpage, fill out and submit the form. We'll contact you shortly after reciving notification of your form submission to confirm your date and go over details.
- Build your team; 3 to 5 volunteers would be a good number to start with. Make sure your volunteers know how to wrap gifts.
- Please arrive about 20 minutes before the start time to ensure everything is set up. We'll have tables, chairs and tablecloths, a cocoa station, and wrapping supplies ready to go, but you may want to arrange them in a way that works best for your team. Remember to bring a banner or a poster identifying your group.
- This is a fun, festive holiday event. Please dress in your "best" holiday sweaters, hats, clothes, etc.
- Please ensure you have team members on hand through the end of the evening's event. Plan on staying 30 minutes after the event ends to wrap up (pun intended) and help tear down if needed.
- Your group will receive 100% of the donations raised from your participation in the fundraiser. Your group can participate in up to two dates during the fundraising period.
- At The end of the night, proceeds will be totaled and verified. At the fundraiser's end, checks will be presented to each community group for the total funds they raised during the fundraiser period.
