Victor Valley Transit Authority will be giving free rides on Saturday, February 4th in honor of Transit Equity Day which is celebrated on Rosa Parks birthday. The Civil Rights activist would have turned 110 this year and her heroic protest of refusing to give up her bus seat in December 1955, launched a global recognition of social inequalities. It’s because of her pivotal role in history that transit systems worldwide have became more equitable today. In honor of Rosa Parks and Transit Equity day, all bus rides in San Bernardino County will be free on February, 4th 2023 including Metrolink, Basin Transit, Mountain Transit, Needles Area Transit (NAT), Omnitrans & Victor Valley Transit (VVTA).
