The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is offering Lady Be Aware training, a comprehensive course that equips women with the necessary attitude, skills, and knowledge to avoid becoming victims.
The Lady Be Aware course covers all aspects of safety, including cyber safety, home safety, situational awareness, and physical safety. The training is designed to help women understand the risks they may face in various situations and how to avoid them. Participants learn how to assess potentially dangerous situations and respond appropriately to stay safe.
The Lady Be Aware course also includes hands-on self-defense training. Participants will learn how to defend themselves effectively in case of an attack, as well as how to safely use a firearm. The Lady Be Aware training is a one-day, eight-hour course. The November class will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The training will take place at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center, located at 18901 Institution Road in Devore. The cost of the course is $75, and comfortable clothing is recommended. Please note that flip-flops and shorts are not allowed.
