The holiday season is quickly approaching. It’s time to think about mailing packages to loved ones from afar so they can receive them in time for the holidays. The USPS recommends the following dates to ensure your holiday packages and greetings arrive at their destination by December 25.
Military First-Class and Priority Mail should be sent no later than December 9. Military Priority Express by December 16. For contiguous U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii): USPS Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail are recommended by December 18, Priority Mail by December 19, and Priority Mail Express by December 21. Check usps.com for information on other destinations.
Holiday shipping tips: Double-check addresses. Shake boxes to make sure they are well-packed. During the first week of December, customer traffic is expected to increase, and the following week is predicted to be the busiest for mailing, shipping, and delivery. Don’t wait until the last minute to mail your packages.
