An early morning structure fire erupted in Phelan.

On the morning of June 21, 2020, at about 6:30 am local residents awoke to the sound of explosions, many sounding like gun fire.  Soon after the wail of sirens could be heard as first responder fire crews were rushing to the scene.  A structure fire erupted at a residence on Riggins Road, just north of Smoketree Road in Phelan.  Several explosions could be heard which can be attributed to any number of household spray cans, ammo, or other pressurized or sealed containers exploding from the excessive heat from a fire.  Several engines and fire personal were on scene and quickly got to work to dispatch the fire.
