Deputies Conduct Proactive Quality of Life Enforcement In Muscoy and Phelan.

Tri-Community NewsPlus

On October 8, 2021, following numerous complaints from residents regarding unlicensed street vendors, deputies from the Sheriff’s Central Station conducted proactive enforcement on Adams Street in Muscoy and Wagon Train Road in Phelan. Wagon Train road is located on the east side of the I-15 freeway at the intersection of Highway 138.

Members from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), County of San Bernardino Code Enforcement, Environmental Health Inspectors, and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) also participated. ABC issued three citations to street vendors for B.P. 23300/ Selling Alcoholic Beverage without a License and B.P. 25351/ Possession of Beverage Subject to Seizure. Code Enforcement issued one misdemeanor citation to a homeowner on the 2000 block of Adams Street and two separate administrative citations for S.B. County Code 82.06.040 / Industrial – Uses and Permit Requirements.

Deputies provided a safe field environment for non-law enforcement personnel, and CHP Officers secured the roadway throughout the late afternoon and evening hours.

The safety and welfare of the public continue to be a priority. Proactive enforcement remains necessary to help restore quality of life issues for residents in the Muscoy and Phelan communities. Central Station personnel remain highly committed and will continue to work in partnership with the community.
