Wrightwood’s Halloween spirit shone brightly this year thanks to the generosity of residents, local organizations, and businesses. The Wrightwood Property Owners Association (WWPOA) and the Wrightwood Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) led a community-wide effort to ensure local merchants had plenty of candy for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.
Donation boxes placed throughout town brought in $664 from community members. The WWPOA contributed an additional $150, and CERT donated $100, allowing organizers to purchase candy for the local shops. Combined with candy donations from residents, volunteers distributed an impressive 89 bags of treats to merchants—an effort that business owners said made a big difference during the busy holiday.
“This was a total success and greatly appreciated by our merchants,” organizers shared.
With many small businesses facing economic challenges, the strong community response demonstrated how much local support matters. Residents’ willingness to give helped merchants stay stocked and contributed to a lively, family-friendly Halloween evening in Wrightwood.
Adding to the festivities, the WWPOA also handed out 600 pencils to trick-or-treaters dressed as dinosaurs, pirates, police officers, princesses and countless other characters roaming the village on Halloween night.
Organizers extended their thanks to everyone who donated and helped make the celebration memorable for families and supportive for local businesses. The community’s generosity truly made this year’s Halloween one to remember.
