The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is providing a valuable opportunity to attend a free 20-hour basic training course on disaster preparedness. Wrightwood CERT will be hosting the next three day CERT Basic Training course beginning on Friday evening September 13th at Wrightwood Methodist Church 6:00pm-10:00pm located at 1543 Babara St. Wrightwood. The second and third classes will be held Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15th at the Wrightwood Community Building from 8:00am-5:00pm at 1275 Hwy 2, Wrightwood. All 3 classes must be attended to receive CERT certificate.
The free course will offer basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. Learn the steps to take before a disaster, how to care for yourself and family during a disaster, empower yourself to recover quickly after a dsaster.
The class is for anyone 18 and over (16 if accompanied by a parent) who live in the Tri-Community area of Wrightwood, Phelan, and Pinon Hills or San Bernardino County. To register or obtain more information, please email [email protected].
