The Wrightwood Property Owners Association (WPOA) is currently compiling a detailed directory of local volunteer organizations for inclusion in its September newsletter, one of six newsletters published each year to keep residents informed and connected. The WPOA is inviting all volunteer groups based in Wrightwood to participate by submitting their information no later than Aug. 8.
The upcoming edition will feature a comprehensive listing of each group’s purpose, meeting times and locations, membership details, and contact information. Whether a group focuses on civic engagement, arts, education, environmental stewardship, or neighborhood safety, the WPOA aims to create a central resource that reflects the full range of opportunities available in the community. The goal is to help residents find meaningful ways to get involved while highlighting the efforts of the many dedicated volunteers who contribute to the vitality of Wrightwood.
To be included in the directory, organizations are asked to provide the name of the group, when and where they meet, and whether any membership dues are required—including the amount, if applicable. Groups should also note any qualifications or requirements for membership, along with a brief description of the organization’s goals, services, or activities. Complete contact information, including an email address and phone number, should also be submitted to ensure interested residents can reach out easily.
All submissions should be emailed to Rita Bemis at [email protected]. For questions or more information, she can also be reached by phone at (562) 760-4787.
The WPOA hopes the newsletter will serve as a useful tool for encouraging connection, engagement, and mutual support across the community—values that continue to define life in Wrightwood.
