Do you have what it takes to be a Silver Miner in the 1800s? Burro Run contestants guide their own live burro through Calico Ghost Town and experience what it takes to mine silver. Just one of the many activities planned during Calico Days.

The glory days of Calico will be relived as Calico Ghost Town presents the Annual Calico Days Celebration, September 25th and 26th, 2021, Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm each day.  Back in the 1880s California experienced its largest silver strike in the high desert of San Bernardino County, and Calico became the place to be!   Businesses bustled, the presses hummed, and the town was alive with commerce and trade.

The town will come alive with music, shows, and games for every age that will recall the days when silver mining was king.  Between the music and games, make sure to take a stroll through the Old West Encampments on Main Street.  Guests are invited to wander through this living historical display, interact with the “towns people.”

Favorite features of past Calico Days events will return, including the Old West Character Costume Contest & Show, The Miner’s Triathlon,  old west gunfight shows, and the crowd favorite — Burro Run.  And many more activities for all ages.

Calico Ghost Town shops and attractions will be open from 9am to 5pm daily.  Admission to the event is Adults- $10, Youth (4-11)- $5 and children under 3-free.  Camping is available, and reservations include admission to the event for up to four people per site.  Camping reservations may be booked by calling 800-862-2542 or online at    Calico Ghost Town is located at 36600 Ghost Town Road in Yermo just north of Barstow off I-15.
