Are you looking for a way to make a difference this holiday season? The Phelan Chamber of Commerce’s Angel Tree Program provides Tri-Community children with new gifts, such as toys and clothing, to help make the holidays brighter, thanks to the support of local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Look for the bright red Angel Tree window sign displayed at local businesses through Dec. 13. Each Angel Tree is decorated with paper “Little Angels,” which have the first name, age, and gender of a child needing presents, along with their wish list. Donors can remove one or more “Little Angels” from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child. Return the unwrapped gifts by Dec. 13 at any of the participating businesses: Coldwell Banker Home Source, Pizza Factory, Mama Maria’s, The Ranch Steak House, Mills Hardware, Rick’s Roadside Cafe, and the Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District Office.
If you don’t have time to shop, you can still help. Stop by Spark of Love–Fill the Boot at the Rite Aid parking lot on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A cash donation can be deposited in the boot, or toys can be dropped off. Additionally, if you eat at Mama Maria’s in Phelan on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, they will donate 20% of all sales to the Angel Tree Program.
