The Wrightwood Arts Center is extending the artist’s application deadline for the 2nd Annual Wrightwood Arts & Wine Festival on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. The new application deadline is Wednesday, March 15th. Artists, poets, and authors are encouraged to apply and participate in this one-day event filled with art, wine tasting, food, and music.
Artists can apply for a booth at the festival to sell their art and display their creations. The application fee is $15, which covers the cost for a selection committee to review applications. Space is limited, so not all artists will be accepted, but those that are will have an additional booth fee.
In addition to artist booths, Rattle (a literary magazine co-hosting the festival) is sponsoring a booth just for writers. The festival is looking for a dozen authors to share their books for 30 mini-readings and book signings throughout the day. Rattle will also host a Poetry Slam with Individual World Poetry Slam Champion Joaquin Zihuatanejo. Inspiring poets are invited to apply for a free 2.5-hour workshop with the world-renowned poet and to perform at the poetry slam scheduled for later that evening during the festival.
