The deadline for FEMA Assistance has been extended to September 1st, 2023. The application was set to expire on July 20th but was extended to provide more time for residents that were effected by the server winter storms that happened back in March.
The government organization can help homeowners as well as renters with applying for financial assistance towards damages that resulted from the storms and was declared a Federal Disaster by President Biden on April 3rd 2023.
Applications are available online at DisasterAssistance.gov or through the FEMA mobile app . You may also call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 from 4 am to 10 pm PST daily.
FEMA’s Individual and Household Program can provide financial assistance for temporary housing, home repair, or even home replacement if the damage is severe. They also provide Other Needs Assistance for things directly impacted by the disaster like medical expenses or damages to an essential vehicle.
