After a halt to regular activities that has lasted over a year, VFW Post 9415 in Phelan is ready to resume some activities popular with the public.
Beginning May 7, the post will resume Friday night dinners between 5-7 pm. Steak dinners are $16, and the alternate meal is $12. Alternate meals rotate each Friday, generally either fish and chips, chicken, pork chops, or BBQ ribs. Meals include the protein, a salad, baked potato, veggies, and dessert. Taco Tuesdays will also make a return on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Chicken, ground beef, and chili verde pork tacos usually available and are just $1.50 each.
Every Monday 6pm is Poker. Every Wednesday is Pool.
The one popular event that will not be resuming yet is the monthly horse-shoe tournament. The Phelan VFW is open to the public. The VFW Hall is available to rent. 760-868-1999.
